BSYW do not receive finance from the local education authority or from central church funding. Consequently, we rely on donations from local churches, individuals and occasional gifts from local schools.

Regular donations, however small, are peferred because they give us a degree of stability as we move forwards.

Gift Aid

If you are a UK paxpayer you may be eligible to gift BSYW with a refund from HMRC amounting to 25% of the value of your donation to us. Thus, a £10.00 donation would result in BSYW receiving £10.00 from the donor and £2.50 in rebate (Gift Aid) from HMRC: all at no cost to the donor.

To qualify for Gift Aid you need to ensure that the total value of all Gift Aid-able donations you made to any charities in the latest complete tax year do not exceed 25% of the value of tax you paid to HMRC in that same period.

You will also need to complete a Gift Aid Declaration form and send it to us (post or e-mail (see our Contact Us Page)) so that we have a record of your consent to make a claim to HMRC against your donation.
